Ayanda Muziwandile Kubheka

Ayanda Muziwandile Kubheka is a visionary educator, community leader, and founder of the Amasobode Foundation—a nonprofit career development and educational support organization serving rural and township youth in KwaZulu-Natal. Born in Nongoma and based in Vryheid, Ayanda has dedicated his life to reshaping the future of underprivileged learners by providing access to academic support, mentorship, and career guidance.

He holds a Bachelor of Education and an Honours degree in Educational Support Services from the University of Zululand, specializing in career guidance, special needs, and inclusive education. Through the Amasobode Foundation and its Cross Pollination Academy, he offers digital literacy programs, life coaching, job shadowing, special classes, application support, and mentorship for learners from primary to post-matric level.

Ayanda’s impact stretches from hosting teacher capacitation workshops under Teacher2Teacher Empowerment, to facilitating wellness programs and digital skills training through Southern Seas and Digititan. He is also an educator at Harpo Primary School and has served as chairperson of a disability care center, ETDP SETA assessor, and a civic education advocate under the Activate Change Drivers Program.

Recognized as the Life Orientation Cluster’s best teacher, a YALI Civic Leadership graduate, and a Teach the Nation alumnus, Ayanda continues to lead by example. His initiatives, including career dress-up days and community support drives, inspire youth to envision and work toward brighter futures.

With every learner empowered and every family reached, Ayanda reaffirms his belief that education is the most powerful tool for change.
