About the Awards

The Free SA Young Leaders Awards were launched to spotlight and support the extraordinary work of South Africa’s youth. These awards are not simply accolades, they are a celebration of the power of youth-driven leadership to inspire hope, shift paradigms, and strengthen our democracy.

“Young people are not a footnote to our democracy, they are its lifeblood,” said Reuben Coetzer, spokesperson for Free SA. “By honouring these leaders, we are not only recognising their work, we are affirming the essential role of youth in building a better, fairer South Africa.”
