Lebo Engelina Monama is the visionary founder and CEO of Isiphithiphithi Wears Fashion House, a luxury streetwear brand launched in 2017 that’s built on the philosophy of healing through fashion. Her designs weave together African identity, sustainability, and storytelling — transforming clothing into a tool for empowerment and social connection.
Her brand has grown to include corporate wear, fashion films, and a forthcoming 2025 showcase at Constitution Hill, positioning her as both a style innovator and a community builder. At the heart of her work is a mission to uplift others. Lebo has mentored dozens of young creatives through initiatives like 25 Art Peace, and programs like YCC (Youth Content Collective) and K. Moraba & Collective, where she trained in photography, garment construction, and business fundamentals.
Isiphithiphithi Wears is aligned with seven of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty eradication, gender equality, and sustainable economic growth. She runs projects such as the “Reduce & Reuse” eco-fashion campaign and the E-Cover Book Project, helping learners from disadvantaged backgrounds feel seen and supported.
Lebo has been featured in Ekurhuleni News, Benoni City Times, and was awarded “Mentee of the Year” at the DSD Gauteng Youth Camp. With growing brand visibility, seasonal sales success, and expansion into new markets, her business continues to thrive.
Lebo Monama is redefining what it means to be a fashion entrepreneur — one design, one mentee, and one purpose-driven step at a time.
