At just 18 years old, Njabulo Zulu is already a published author, seasoned public speaker, talk show host, and one of South Africa’s most fearless youth advocates for anti-bullying and mental health awareness. Her journey began at the age of 10, after enduring severe bullying at school for her dark skin and natural afro. Instead of retreating, she rose—committing her life to being a voice for the voiceless.

Her debut book, Ignite Your Purpose, is a motivational quote collection aimed at inspiring young people to believe in themselves, stand tall in their identity, and never back down from their purpose. Through her platform #TrustedTalksWithNjabuloZulu on Soweto TV, she has tackled pressing teen issues like depression, bullying, peer pressure, and identity struggles, always bringing in professional wellness counsellors to support and educate.

Njabulo is also the founder of several community campaigns:

• #IamAntibullying: school-based awareness and education

• #TeenBoysSession: safe emotional spaces for young men

• #PlayYourRole: parent-focused mental health and anti-bullying advocacy

She has donated to orphanages, spoken at national conferences like GIBS, and represented Gauteng in school debate competitions—placing second nationally. A proud Ashoka Young Changemaker, she also finds joy in preaching, playing musical instruments at UNISA Music School, and reviewing books as a magazine columnist.

With multiple awards and national TV and radio features under her belt, Njabulo Zulu is redefining what it means to lead as a young woman in South Africa—and she’s only just getting started.
