Ogone Vincent Mogopodi

Ogone Vincent Mogopodi is the founder and secretary of the Vincent Mogopodi Foundation, a registered non-profit organisation committed to eradicating poverty and uplifting disadvantaged communities across South Africa.

Hailing from Bloemfontein, Vincent was moved by the daily struggles faced by many families and decided to take action — not through wealth or privilege, but through compassion and initiative. While still a student, he founded the organisation and, along with other youth volunteers, began supporting the less fortunate using their own limited resources.

The foundation operates on the belief that “freely we receive, therefore freely shall we give.” Through various initiatives, the team has distributed food parcels, school uniforms, and daily essentials; promoted education by encouraging school dropouts to return to the classroom; and helped orphanages with daily needs. They’ve also run motivational talks to inspire youth to become active agents of change in their own communities.

Their “Winter Street Invasions” have provided warmth and nourishment to homeless individuals, while collaborations like the partnership with My Flower Initiative have addressed critical issues such as menstrual health for underprivileged girls.

Despite receiving no external funding, the Vincent Mogopodi Foundation has made a meaningful impact across Bloemfontein and beyond — a testament to what can be achieved with dedication, faith, and a heart for service.

Ogone Vincent Mogopodi continues to be a beacon of hope, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can spark lasting change.
