Rev. Vusumuzi Sifiso Kunene

Rev. Vusumuzi Sifiso Kunene is a faith leader, civic builder, and visionary founder of the Newcastle Religious Council (NRC) and the Amajuba District Changemakers Youth Council (ADCYC). With over a decade of service to KwaZulu-Natal’s communities, Rev. Kunene has created more than 10 grassroots platforms for youth empowerment, spiritual growth, entrepreneurship, and social transformation.

He is a Junior Pastor at PHG Church and Acting Chairperson of SAPS Spiritual Crime Prevention, using faith-based solutions to fight crime and restore hope in high-risk areas. Through NRC, he organizes large-scale awareness campaigns, life skills sessions, and skills development workshops—from learner’s license drives to entrepreneurship and leadership training.

Rev. Kunene is also the founder of VK Admin Services, Changemakers Daily Headlines, Peaceful Life Training College, and the Township Business Indaba – Newcastle, showcasing his strategic mind and capacity for institution-building.

He has served as a news anchor for Newcastle FM, a contributor to multiple community newspapers, and a public voice on Ukhozi FM and Lit Radio. He’s been recognized nationally by Inside Education, NYDA, and Newcastle Mall for his contribution to youth development and philanthropy.

With an expansive portfolio spanning spiritual leadership, radio, public speaking, and entrepreneurship, Rev. Kunene is a connector of people, programs, and purpose. His faith, coupled with his strategic vision, makes him a catalyst for dignity, development, and generational change.
