Rejoyce Kgabo Legodi is a passionate environmental activist and researcher whose work stands at the frontline of climate justice and sustainable development in Africa. Born and raised in Limpopo, she has made it her mission to amplify the voices of vulnerable communities affected by environmental degradation, policy neglect, and the global climate crisis.

With academic credentials from the University of Limpopo, University of Cape Town, AgriColleges International, and the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Rejoyce combines grassroots activism with academic insight to drive real impact in rural and urban communities alike.

Her focus areas include:

• Climate change adaptation and resilience

• Environmental justice through a human rights lens

• Equitable transitions to low-carbon economies

She has conducted in-depth research with leading institutions, including the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), where her work has informed discourse on sustainable development across the continent.

Rejoyce’s approach blends activism with education, championing programs that empower youth and women in underserved areas to take agency over their environments. Her campaigns emphasize food security, clean energy, and indigenous environmental knowledge — rooting climate solutions in culture and context.
